Century of the Child exhibition opens at Museum of Modern Art, this August.

This super wide format wall mural was printed on vinyl adhesive wall covering. Installation involved the tiling of multiple panels to create a virtually seamless image. Printing is done at maximum resolution to ensure high image quality at this scale reproduction.

Check out the "PRINT/OUT"  new Exhibit at MoMA.  This exhibition examines the evolution of artistic practices related to the print medium, from the resurgence of traditional printmaking techniques—often used alongside digital technologies—to the proliferation of self-published artists’ projects. Bringing together some 70 series or projects drawn substantially from MoMA’s extensive collection of prints and books, with the addition of several important loans, the exhibition features major artists and publishing projects, such as Ai Weiwei, Trisha Donnelly, Martin Kippenberger, Daniel Joseph Martinez, Lucy McKenzie, Aleksandra Mir, Museum in Progress, Edition Jacob Samuel, Thomas Schütte, SUPERFLEX, Rirkrit Tiravanija, and Christopher Wool, among many others.

Over 5,000 sq. ft. of adhesive vinyl printed & installed. This was a challenging installation as the dots needed to align perfectly from panel to panel. To avoid  potential alignment problems files were prepared with one one row f dots overlap and upon install all aligned perfectly.

Spring 12 window large format graphics

Here is  a fresh look for Spring 12 windows of nationwide retailer. These large scale garlands are digitally printed using white printing direct. Color X then fabricated the final product by die cutting and sewing to create free flowing large scale graphics. 

Acrylic mounted photos

Digitally printed photos are mounted behind acrylic  and installed on metal cables to create floating effect. Photos are museum quality on the acrylic.

Printing on carpet can be done direct or by dye sublimation. Public Art Installation New York City, Color X

 This recent public art installation, is one of many locations downtown New York in a recent program to beautify the area.  the art installations are a great way to bring art into the area which otherwise would be looking at plywood construction areas. New York  artists works are featured. The large format visuals are a great way to dress up these construction sites.  Color X, New York has printed and installed several of these .

The use of large graphic images give this title wall a great presence in the gallery.  Image is printed onto adhesive vinyl with a matte lamination for low glare.  Image is printed in two panels and installed with an overlap that is trimmed back for precise registration. Image looks like one continuous photo. Current graphics installation at the MET in NYC.  Color X ,  New York digitally  printed large format on adhesive vinyl and digital die cut out background and apply vinyl direct on wall.

On most occasions vinyl adhesive is used to print & mount on walls & exterior surfaces. In  this case, the brick wall was not a smooth surface, so Color X used our artistic option of hand painting. Using precise masks and an array of small brushes & sponge to duplicate original logo.

half awake, half asleep presents layers of abstracted, ephemeral images of blossoms, rays of light, and leaves that interact with the surrounding natural elements of the park, playing off the subtle shifts in the natural light throughout the day - it is an experiential piece.
